                                                                                  ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
 

Notice is hereby given that bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 for the following described local improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, in accordance with the plans and specifications for the same which are on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City.


Title: J2580-19-2 First Street Parking Ramp LED Lighting Retrofit


Immediately following expiration of the time for receiving bids, the City Clerk and designated City official(s) will publicly open said bids in the City Hall and tabulate them in advance of the Council meeting. The Common Council will consider the bids in the Council/Board Chambers at the Government Center at 7:00 P.M. on July 22, 2019.


The General Contract includes providing all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals necessary to retrofit the lighting system of Civic Center and Third Street Ramps and indicated, including furnishing and installing wiring, low-voltage, power, and pathways as required; all in accordance with the Specifications and Drawings prepared by Walker Restoration Consultants, dated June, 2019. Plan, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined at the Department of Public Works, 201 4th St. SE, Room 108, Rochester, MN 55904, (507) 328-2400 or the City’s website at https://egram.rochestermn.gov/, and at Walker Restoration Consultants, 1660 South Highway 100, Suite 545, Minneapolis, MN 55416.


Each bid must be sealed and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's check or a certified check payable to the City of Rochester, Minnesota, for at least 5% the amount of the bid, which amount shall be forfeited to the City of Rochester, Minnesota, as liquidated damages if the bidder, upon the letting of the contract to him shall fail to enter into the contract so let; the Common Council reserving the right to reject any and all bids.
