                                                                                  ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
 
Immediately following the expiration of the time for receiving bids, the City Clerk and one (1) designated City officials will publicly open said bids in the City Hall and tabulate them in advance of the Council meeting. The Common Council will consider the bids in the Council/Board Chambers at the Government Center at 7:00 P.M. on July 22, 2019.


The General Contract includes providing all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals necessary to repair deteriorated concrete slabs and beams; painting of bottom side repairs; and miscellaneous construction for this project in accordance with the Specifications and Drawings prepared by BKBM Engineers, dated June 14, 2019. Each bid must be sealed and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's check or a certified check payable to the City of Rochester, Minnesota, for at least five (5) percent of the amount of the bids, which amount shall be forfeited to the City of Rochester, Minnesota, as liquidated damages if the bidder, upon the letting of the contract to him shall fail to enter into the contract so let; the Common Council reserving the right to reject any and all bids.


A Performance and Payment bond for the full amount of the contract by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota, will be required with the contract. (Personal bonds will not be accepted.)


Liquidated damages will be assessed in the amount of $600 per calendar day for failure to complete the project on time.


All proposals must be addressed to Anissa Hollingshead, City Clerk of the City of Rochester, 201 Fourth Street Southeast, Rochester, Minnesota 55904-3740, and shall have endorsed thereon 2019 RESTORATION OF THE SECOND STREET PARKING RAMP - ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA; City Project No. J-2594-19.
