ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that electronic bids will be accepted by the City Clerk through https://bidvault.mn.uccs.com, until 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, for the construction of the following described local improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, in accordance with the plans and specifications for the same which are on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City:

Construct Multi Use Path along TH 14 E from 21 Ave SW to East Circle Drive (CSAH 22) and along College Drive SE
from TH 14 to the 8 ½ Street SE
Title: J4670 Construct Multi Use Path along North Frontage Road of TH 14 E from 15th Ave SE to E Circle Dr (CSAH 22)
Immediately following expiration of the time for receiving bids, the City Clerk and two designated City officials will publicly open said bids in the City Hall and tabulate them in advance of the Council meeting. The Common Council will consider the bids in the Council/Board Chambers at the Government Center at 7:00 P.M. on Sept 17, 2018.
Said Construction generally consists of Bituminous Trail, Concrete Walk, and Storm Sewer. The work includes the following approximate quantities of work:

Each bid must be sealed and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's check or a certified check payable to the City of Rochester, Minnesota, for at least 5% of the amount of the bid, which amount shall be forfeited to the City of Rochester, Minnesota, as liquidated damages if the bidder, upon the letting of the contract to him shall fail to enter into the contract so let; the Common Council reserving the right to reject any and all bids.
A Performance and Payment Bond for the full amount of the contract by a surety company authorized to do business in the
State of Minnesota will be required with the contract. (Personal bonds will not be accepted.)
Minimum wage rates to be paid by the Contractors have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962,
P.L. 87-581 and implementing regulations.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation hereby notifies all bidders:
